Canterbury’s Choice Milk Returns & Refunds Policy
At Canterbury’s Choice Milk, we take pride in delivering premium, farm-fresh dairy and locally sourced produce straight to your door. Because our offerings include perishable food items and time-sensitive deliveries, please review our policy below to understand how we handle returns, exchanges, and refunds.
Returns & Refund Requests
Perishable & Fresh Produce
Due to the nature of our dairy products, eggs, and fresh produce, all food items are non-returnable. However, if you receive an order that is damaged, compromised, or not as described, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery at delivery@canterburyschoice.co.nz. We will work with you to promptly resolve the issue—whether that means a replacement delivery or a refund for the affected items.
Non-Perishable Items
For non-perishable products (such as our milk chiller, reusable glass bottles, or gift cards), we offer a 30-day return policy. To be eligible, the item must be unused, in its original packaging, and accompanied by your receipt or proof of purchase. To start the process, please email us at delivery@canterburyschoice.co.nz. We will provide instructions and a return shipping label if your request is approved.
Please note: Items returned without prior authorization will not be accepted.
Damages & Order Issues
We carefully pack every order, but if you notice any damage, defects, or if you receive the wrong item, please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately at delivery@canterburyschoice.co.nz. We value your satisfaction and will evaluate the issue to ensure it is resolved quickly.
Exceptions & Non-Returnable Items
- Perishable Items: As mentioned, our dairy products, eggs, and fresh produce cannot be returned due to their perishable nature.
- Sale Items & Gift Cards: Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
- Hazardous or Special Order Products: Items that are custom-made or classified as hazardous (e.g., flammable liquids) are not eligible for return. If you have any questions regarding a specific product, please get in touch.
Exchanges
If you would like a different non-perishable item, the fastest solution is to return the original product (following our return process) and then place a separate order for the new item.
Refunds
Once we’ve received and inspected your return (where applicable), we will notify you of our decision. If your return or complaint is approved:
- For non-perishable items, a refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days.
- For perishable items, any approved refund or replacement will be handled promptly to ensure your satisfaction.
If more than 15 business days have passed since the approval of your return or refund request, please contact us at delivery@canterburyschoice.co.nz for further assistance.
